Hello everybody,
Thanks to all for the great contributions, now that I have established where "Thorniwhat" is I would like to keep this thread going.
You will all notice that I have re-named the Subject line from "Thorniwhat ? in Lochmaben" to "Bell / Taggart - Thorniethwaite, Lochmaben"
For many years now, I have hit many "Bell" brick walls for my g, g, g, grandfather Walter Bell (Annan), spouse Margaret Aitkin (Hutton and Corrie/Kirkpatrick-Fleming).
So, this search interest is a new and fresh outlook for another possible link to my "Bell" ancestors

The facts for this new possibility are as such -

John Bell 5th July 1792 son to James Bell and Jannet Tagart spouse in Thorniwhat
