The surname Lamb according to Clan Lamont the Surname Lamb came from a son of Robert Lamont the V Four of His sons Had to leave the Cowal peninsula in Argyll after avenging three Daughter after being accosted by three Lairds ,of the Four one of them assumed the name Lamb as being closest to His own whent to England and thus started the Lambs in England ,there is a letter written to the Lord Lyon in1699 to verify this claim
