It makes sense & Aliss/Alys fits, the Elerby surname fits as well.

Now is time to make sense and piece this together which will involve yet another (400 mile round) trip to Lincoln.

At least I can pick up another pile of proper Lincoln bangers for the freezer :)

Probably a daft question, but do the LDS London FHC, currently at Kew, happen to have films for the relevant parish(es)?

No it's Lincolnshire.

Children born & probably married c1640-1670, so very much in the dark Cromwellian PR area. There are some records for East & West Keal around this time but only available at the Lincoln archives.
