STAINES AND EGHAM WATERMENS REGATTA

On my GGF's, Charles Roberts Obituary (1906), it stated that he was a Founder Member of the Staines and Egham Watermens Regetta around 1886. The first meeting was held in the 'White Lion", presumably in Staines.
Any information about the Regatta would be appreciated.
