Dewsbury Methodists
« on: Thursday 26 July 12 11:59 BST (UK) »
I have just downloaded  a non-conformist baptism record ref WC21  Dewsbury Zion  C7/19/1/1-19/1/2   It doesn't say what denomination was the church at "Dewsbury Zion".  Could anyone help track this church down.  My current best guess :o is Primitive Methodist ???

The West Yorkshire Archive service has it as a Primitive Methodists  from about 1844-1969.
Dewsbury isn't one of my favourite subjects of study but I thought it was just on the outskirts of the town. Earlsheaton  Wesleyan is from 1865, I think that could be still going.
