Sorry but this family has me a bit confused with so many same names and believe it to be quite a large family. From 1851 index on FindMyPast there is an Alice David age 17 also John age 45 and Thomas age 10 all with registration of Swansea. As the names and ages fit I wanted to check it out. Thanks, Syljun

Hi Syljun

The John David in this family is shown as born in 1805 Llangafelach Glam - Coal Miner and the rest of the family living in the village of Morriston are ...............

Elizabeth David wife 46 Llangafelach Glam
David son 19 Llangafelach Glam - Smith
Alice daugh 17 Llangafelach Glam
Mary daugh 12 Llangafelach Glam
Richard son Llangafelach Glam

Does this fit in with what you have?

Regards

Z :)

Thanks z, What happened to Thomas age 10?. I think I'll give up on this family.

I know my Grt.Grt.Grandfather William had a brother John as the two baptisms were at Llandarrog and only Father named John of  Cwmcoch Farm - Farmer. Believe farm was tenanted and several families are on Censii over years. Thanks for your help but still confused. Syljun

Thanks z, Still not sure if this family of Davies is connected to David. Will have to investigate further as the age of John is out for William's Brother. Birthplace of Llanarthney keeps cropping up. Any BMD's on line? I know some of the family moved into Llanelly and have traced my line of William - took years to figure it out but was hoping to untangle family to go back further as the surname David seems to be mentioned way back. Thank you for your time and effort, it is much appreciated. Regards, Syljun
