« on: Monday 30 July 12 16:01 BST (UK) »
Hi, received Betsy Birth Cert father John mother Elizabeth nee Davis occ Naval Pensioner late a licenced beer seller.
Have John 1860 bap father John mother Elizabeth occ Smith,
Have marriage of John Rowe and Elizabeth Davis 1853 (sending of for orig cert)
I think l have the right family but why does John keep changing occupation, l think both parent must have died between 1861 and 1871 as cannot find them on census.
Thanks for your help,

Hi Sorry about last message comp went on rampage,
John Rowe 1860 who married Ellen Banks is also my Husbands gt grandfather, at my last count l found 13 children one of them being Francis Rowe b 1902 who had my husbands father John in 1923 out of marriage, she went on to marry a George Weemes but we dont know if John was his son as he never took his name and kept his mothers maiden name.
Any thing l can help you with please ask but l have only recently started researching the Rowe family.

thanx Sandra.

ellen and John Rowe also had a son in 1904 called william james rowe who was my husbands maternal grandfather.  Francis would have been my mother in laws aunt. I have a fair bit on my tree if i can be of help to you. good luck in your research.
And a hello to extended family  :).

Hi, yes l have William, l have most of the family upto recent times but the going back is a headache have you seen how many John Rowe's there are in Devon.
I have the original Marriage Cert of John and Ellen so that was a great help (held together with cellotape!!)
if you like we could swop emails.
Looks like John only had 1 sister Betsy but as parent were in there 40s l think they may have more.
so will keep looking.
