dear All,
Please can anyone help with this family?

Walter Noel Rees b1887 Merthyr Tydfil married in Ireland 1911
Annetta Valentine Rees Irish
daughter Dorothy Myra Rees don't know birth date or where
son Illtyd Noel Rees born 1913 Sydney Australia

I don't know how long they were in Australia but they seemed to be settled in Canada at least from 1947. However Annetta had died by then.

Can anyone tell me anything about them please.

Walter Noel Rees was the brother of Thomas Clifford Rees in my earlier post.

1937 the whole family is on the London electoral register living at "Pronto"  Camlet Way, Hadley Wood, Barnet, Herts

Illtyd died in Carmarthen area in 1983

Death: Apr-May-Jun 1983
Age:    69
Carmarthen, Vol 24, page 1586

There is also an arrival on 9 June 1954 from Montreal on the Empress of Austalia for Illtyd, wife and two children, heading for an address in Great Ayton, Middlesborough

Walter returns from New York on the Queen Mary 28 Dec 1951, heading for an address in West London

he and Annetta are also on the electoral register in 1924 (Woolwich)  & 1926 (Lewisham)

Again on the electoral register in 1939 in Westminster - with Walter and Illtyd (listed as Elfyd)

This looks like Annetta's death

On board the    Empress of Australia

He was heading for Quakers Grove, Gt Ayton nr Middlesborough. Accompanied by Marjorie 29, plus 2children, son aged 4 and daughter 1. I wont put their names as they could still be alive. He was a salesman. He says his intended country of permanent residence was England.

Also travelling Illtyd N Rees, aged 33 years, farmer. Born Sydney. Australia.
Last permanent residence:- Auchengownie.

Had been in the USA 1904 (could be 6 weeks) Sister -In- Law E Gorman 37 Brighton Square. Rathgar. Dublin.

Marjorie Rees. Born about 1920 and aged 28 years.
