Pity the marriage is not on the IrishGenealogy website - RootsIreland only have transcripts rather than images.

Usually RC marriage records mention in Latin if the either or both parents are deceased - sometimes with an abbreviation like 'Mort.' On the city records I've seen a place of residence is only mentioned if either or both is living.
 
I've had a look at directories from 1881 and 1870 - and no sign of any Deegan bakeries in Wexford town or New Ross. I also checked Enniscorthy and Gorey.

Thanks for taking the time for looking things up for me.Begining to wonder if his name is really Robert as when you look at 1901 cencus there is only 1 or 2 and yet that name has been passed down in generations.
