Are you able to give us Archibald Thompson parents names?

I find Dorothy  buried in  the Fawkner cemetery  but with  the new search system  you cant see who is buried in  the grave with her.

Looking at the electoral rolls  his name was Archie Alexander Thompson  and  they  were together prior to 1942 by  the rolls  He was a hotel proprioter, 1949 amd 1954 show him at Triabunna Tas,     He enlisted in  WW2.  he was born in  1894 Triabunna  in Tasmania

thanks Jenn

Thanks all, still no record of Archibald death or Dorothy, J his child.
Dorothy May Ellingsen was also known as Dorothy May Hobbs! She was also named in another divorce between the Hobbs.
I have just obtained her DC it states the above 1st marriage to Archibald was at 19yrs of age issue 1 she was 33yrs when her mother died. 2nd marriage at 47 to Percy Ellingsen no issue. She was only in Victoria 3yrs before her death, informant looks like R Cummings? Before her death she was living at Roseneath Street clifton Hill Vic.

Dorothy May Ellingsen aged 54
Location Church Of England: Compartment T Grave 8789.
She is alone.

The new search system, I would agree JENN is inadequate in the exreme. Fortunately at this stage anyhow, Fawkner is still searchable under the old system.

How old was  the child at  her mothers death please?  Do you mean she was 33 years old when her mother died.  So  it just has her christian names?

Did she die in  hospital the R Cummings  may just have been an informant  and not necessarily a relative.

thanks Jenn

Dorothy Joan (the daughter) was said to be 33yrs in 1952, her mother Dorothy May Ellingsen did die in hospital at a place called Hamilton Russell House Commercial Rd Melbourne post operative so yes it was most likely the Dr who was informant.
