Maybe the death in 1953 wasn't your Reginald?

The death doesn't show a middle name for him nor does the marriage.
I would have expected the second name or second initial to be shown on the probate record at least.

Not conclusive evidence it wasn't him but have to be a little suspicious.

There's a death for Jessie Elizabeth Millard widow in 1947 Charlton Kings which is in Cheltenham dist.

So if that is her Reginald has died between 1934 and 1947.

Possible for George S marriage Bristol 1925 Emily E Holden.

Strange but there is a death for Emily Elizabeth Millard in 1964 Bristol probate to Walter Holden but it says she is a single woman  :-\

All of this is very strange, I have a Great Uncle that is alive but he tells me nothing about any of them, its a shame, I am having to put the pieces together!

Onto Gladys you would think it would be easier with 3 names wouldn't you but not the case.

There's a Gladys K marriage Cheltenham 1927 to Richard E White.

I wonder if Alfred Henry was Alfred Henry George?

If so he was killed in 1917.

His birthplace is the same as on the census so :(
