James Smith and Ann King married c 1828 had a number of children by 1841 Nicol James Janet and William
by 1851 James snr. James and Nicol had died and Ann a widow
was living with Janet aged 12 ,Beatrice 10 and John Fordie (her son) aged 10 months -- Ann married Hamilton
Fordie and by1861 the family were living in Dean Street Edinburgh,
Hamilton was a blacksmith ,Ann , Jessie (Janet) Smith and John H. Fordie.
Ann died in 1869 -- I have the deaths of Hamilton and of their son John.
