A few minutes ago I received a scanned copy of the Illawarra Mercury from Wollongong library after emailing them as suggested on this board and it has the information I was looking for, including the name of a half brother I never knew existed. Thanks so much to everyone for their help

I am mystified about the 8 Massey st Berkeley. I grew up at 40 Massey st Berkeley, and perhaps my grandparents lived on the same street at number 8. In fact I might even have some vague long forgotten memories of visiting now that I think of it. Sorry it might seem silly that I dont know these things but everything changed after the divorce and move which was around 1980 and some things were not spoken about.

I guess that was a bit of a surprise finding a half brother even though you did half expect it.
