Do you have any further information?

Name, date of birth, etc....

I can only find a record for a C W Honey at the moment.

Sounds like W G Honey was the photographer, if so, he must have been in Cork at some point.

The 1st and 2nd Battalions would have been stationed at either Templemore, Naas, Queenstown or the Curragh at some point for training, re-equipping, etc....

Queenstown (now Cobh) is the closest to Cork, the 3rd, 4th and 5th Reserves were all based there at some point between 1914 and 1918 but none appear to have served overseas, which only leaves us with the 1st or 2nd, is there a date on the photo?

Looking at his MRC he was awarded the Silver War Badge meaning he was invalided out on 8th August 1916 due to sickness. It also states that he'd served overseas (he enlisted 8th Aug 1914!), doesn't give the battalion though.

Med could possibly mean the Mediterranean? The 1st and 6th were both in the Med at that time.

I see you've already found the RDF site.

http://baseportal.com/cgi-bin/baseportal.pl?htx=/research/WW1&localparams=1&range=1800,50

This link gives you all those with the surname Duffy from Dublin that were killed during WW1 if that's of any interest?
