Thanks jc - I will file that info.  I may look further at Arthur's line at a later time but as he isn't a 'blood' relative I will put it on the back burner for now.

Do I give up hope of finding a marriage certificate for Arthur and Emily?  On the 1911 census they say they have been married for 4 years.  I can't find any record of their marriage though.  ???

There was an Emliy Jones who married William Kitson and lived on South St. Herefordshire, Leominster.

Maybe a long shot but 1908 marriage between Arthur Browning and Emily Butler in Birmingham and marriage between Emily Jones and Ernest Browning in Cardiff in 1905

Unlikely though as no reason for Birmingham to become involved, but Emily could have fitted in a marriage before marrying Arthur so had Jones as her maiden name, but not as her name she was marrying with
