Hi I know Edmundus Doyle and Maria McDonagh were married in Sligo and I have found 4 of their children. But I can't find the parents themselves.
When I try and search for Edmundus I can only find him as a witness or sponsor for someone elses christening. How can I find his birth. I am not sure if it is Sligo or Waterford, but his wife and children are from Sligo.
Hope someone can help me.

Are the children, Judith, Maria and Michael - 1817- 1828 births?

That is very early and you would be relying on Parish records as you seem to have done already.

Here are some pointers for you.

According to Family Search there looks to be a gap in marriage records.
