Hi Jon,

I don't know of anyone who has researched  this side of the family further as the abiding mystery is who was the American John Pratt, and where was he from. His son, Dennis, the youngest child of the family is still alive, and has been trying to find out more for years. John Pratt was 'killed in a collision with a motor vehicle on Saughill Road 03/01/1934. He came to Britain before the need for passports, and seems to have got off a boat in Connahs Quay, and stayed.

If you email me your email address to (*) I will send you a PDF extracted from my system listing all the info about the descendants of Thomas Shaw c.1790 I have, including place names of births and marriages.

I have families for Thomas' sons Hugh & John, but not one for Henry, but you may find a clue somewhere.

Bob
