1911 census help
« on: Tuesday 14 August 12 19:26 BST (UK) »
Can anybody tell me what the enumerator has written on the last line of an entry on a 1911 census image?
The person is,
Charles Powis age 40 living in Tewkesbury street in Cardiff with his wife Alice, daughter Agnes, son Benjamin and a domestic servant called Margaret Bevan.
Can somebody tell me what it says in red pen on the last line.

Because the census was taken on the night of 2-3 April. Presumably the form was left and completed in advance, and the enumerator then noted on it that the family weren't actually living there any more. If you're lucky you might find that the family filled in another form relating to where they actually were on census night.

It looks like it was just the BEVAN child who wasn't there on census night, not the whole family.

The number of inhabitants has been amended from 6 to 5 people in the house on census night. :)
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

Fair enough - I didn't actually look at the return in question (and still haven't), but I thought it might be helpful to mention the likely connection with the date the census was taken.
