Abraham family
« on: Wednesday 15 August 12 10:49 BST (UK) »
The Abraham family lived in Wicklow town in 1901.  Does anyone know where they went?  By 1911 they are gone.  I think maybe some went to Liverpool.  Is there a way of checking ships passenger lists? Any help much appreciated,

Hi there,

Is this the family that you are refering to ?

abraham wicklow town 1901

This is Mary with her son Joseph and some later children in 1911 and they are still in Wicklow !

abraham wicklow town 1911

As Ireland was still classed as part of the UK at this point in history there are no ship's records from Ireland to Britain.

Are you descended from one of these people ?

I can see that Mary was married to a John Abraham - he's not with them on either census though ???

Name: Mary Roe
Date of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar 1887
Registration district: Rathdrum
Volume: 2
Page: 846

What info is it that you are looking for ?

Tara

Is this John Abraham in 1911

john abraham 1911 census

If he was a mariner it would explain him not being on the 1901 census !

There is a Nicholas S Abraham showing as passing away in Liverpool in 1945 !

How did you find that out? That's amazing.  Liverpool is connected as my Dad was born there.

Hi Tara,
Nicholas would be my dads uncle.
If he married and had children they might be still around??????
My Dad would love to meet some living relatives.
Thanks again,
Geraldine
