just out of interest in case you did not have it
emma pile's maiden name appears to be uncles
on the 1871 census posted there is in the same household as mary rebecca pile a ellen.u.proctor
the u stands for uncles

William is a lodger in Bristol. States married but not with any obvious family. Born 1826 Westbury

Then there is a death in Bristol Q4 1866 which could be him Vol 6a Page 16

do not know whether you have this already but in 1861 emma pile is with her mother mary pile
on this census she states she is married
