*** COMPLETED *** Robert Lyell Vincent - Tasmania

Hi All,


I need some help in finding the resting place of a Robert Lyell Vincent, born; 31st January 1911 in Burnie Tasmania.
Robert was the son of Collin Henry Vincent, & Florence Vincent, [same Surname, but not related, other than through Marriage].
Robert appears on the Electoral Roll of 1954. He does not appear on the T.A.M.I.O.T. [C.D], nor the E-Heritage web-site. He was not registered as a WW2 Veteran.

He had five siblings, and strangely enough, some of his siblings tended to use their middle names as a primary name.
I thought he may have travelled with his brother Alan, who died in Atherton - Queensland in 1959, but there is no evidence of that. There is no mention that he ever married, or had children.

Looks like he had a sister called Doreen as well.

Sorry I can'thelp you with any specific info about Robert Lyell though.

According to his funeral notice he was buried at Wivenhoe Cemetery.

I suggest you contact the following to see if Colin's son Robert is buried in an unmarked grave or perhaps with his father

Council also maintains the Burnie Cemetery at Wivenhoe and Ridgley Cemetery, which are both now closed, except for burials under pre-existing arrangements.
Contact Council’s Land and Environmental Services Department for burial information and cemetery records on 6430 5822.
