Indeed - but I think it must have been 2/3 Field Ambulance

His service number (690425) is actually for West Lancs RFA - 278 or 288 Brigade.

Unfortunately I don't have access to Ancestry, so can't look at any of his records etc, but he should also be on the SWB Rolls, which I believe are now on there.

Yes he's  on the SWB list - Robt Titterington discharged from 2 Depot (TF).

He was with 288 Bde from July 1916 until February 1917 when he was posted to 291 Bde

Phil,

It is all a tad confusing. The number I have is 690425 and yet he seems to be in the 3rd East Lancs RFA

If you look at the first page of his army record you can see that his number changed a couple of times

As I said to Phil, it's a tad confusing. Looks as if the information I have could be wrong, then. I have: 10/2/17
0.8.293 Bde -posted to 291 Bde RFA.

If you Google "58 Division" you can find out some of the engagements they took part in in February to April 1917. There may also be a unit war diary at TNA

Could you please tell me what TNA stands for.
