Sorry about that, I can see what you mean. I was referring to her with her maiden name because I wanted to find her in the 1861 census before she married. But the 1881 census you pointed out is very interesting and the fact I can't find Mary's mother Jane in the 1881 census could suggest that she has died and then remarried. I shall do some deeper research. Thanks for your help. Kind Regards. David

This one is for Osprey.With regards to Mary's father James in the 1881 census where he is now living with Ann. Do you think there is a transcription error somewhere. I mean if you leave the J out of Jane it looks awfully like Ann. Or even the possibility her name was Ann Jane or Jane Ann James. Just a thought. Can you also explain the missing 1861 Camarthen list I am unaware of this list. Cheers

no, it's not a transcription error, I've checked the actual census. I wouldn't be giving you a commercial company's transcription anyway as that would be infringing copyright.
