I am trying to locate any information for Samuel & Mary Ann Parker of Cornwall
Samuel Parker:   Possibly born Gunnislake, Cornwall about 1824
Mary Ann Stephens? Russell?:   Possibly born Gunnislake, Cornwall about 1825

Married ?

Children:
Mary Ann Hunting? Parker:   Possibly born Gunnislake, Cornwall about 1844
Elizabeth Parker:   Possibly born Gunnislake, Cornwall about 1846
Jane Parker:   Possibly born Gunnislake, Cornwall about 1848

I have seen the family listed in the 1851 & 1861 UK Census.

I have some information that indicates Mary Ann Parker with her three daughters emigrated to Melbourne, Victoria, Australia arriving 12th March, 1864 aboard the "Naval Reserve".

I do not know what happened to Mary's husband Samuel Parker.

The daughter Jane Parker married William Henry Willcocks 1865 in Clunes, Victoria, Australia and is my family line.

Any information, birth dates & places etc would be beaut but in particular what happened to Samuel Parker would be greatly appreciated.

Richard Stephens and Mary Ann Russell.

The children's baptisms are listed on the Cornwall opc website as

I'm curious as to how Maryann's surname changed from Stephens to Hunting as she was a spinster when she married?

I would guess that as Samuel was, by 1861, a copper miner he had travelled to Oz ahead of his family.

think you can rule out the marriage in Sithney. It's the other end of Cornwall from Calstock and that Richard is noted on the baptism of his children as a husbandman, not a ship's carpenter.

There's a possible Mary Ann Hunting enumerated as 15 in Tavistock in 1841 HO107/249 folio 20 pg 34. She is shown as not born in county.

There's a marriage in 1821 at East Stonehouse of a Richard Hunting and Mary Ann Traits. That's a likely sort of area for a ship's carpenter, but nothing as yet to link this marriage to your Mary Ann.

The question of when Mary Ann became Hunting is bugging me 
If she is the Mary Ann Stephens b. 1824 in Calstock, when does she become Hunting?
The only guess I have is that her mother remarried, but I can’t find a marriage anywhere.
There is a family in Perranuthnoe in 1841 [which isn’t that far from Sithney]

I can’t find any of them in later censuses, apart from a possible Lavinia HUNKING.

Thank you to all you good people for your help.

Mary Ann's husband Samuel did travel to Australia ahead or her.  Mary Ann and her three daughters Mary Ann jnr, Elizabeth & Jane joined Samuel in Clunes, Victoria, Australia.  Samuel died shortly after in 1868 pre deceasing Mary Ann.  Mary Ann remarried. 

I am now in possession of a certificate (2nd marriage) for widow Mary Ann Parker to John Greet Willcocks at Clunes, Victoria, Australia on 4th December, 1869.  On this certificate it provides her father's name as Richard Russell? Hunting? (?=hard to read) and her mother as Mary Ann Stephens.  Her 2nd husband also predeceased her.  I have also obtained her death certificate but it appear she died a lonely death in a hospital and her parents, two marriages and children are listed as unknown.

this may be a coincidence but to go with the marriage of Richard Hunting & Mary Ann Traits in 1821, there's a Calstock marriage a few years earlier of Richard Traits and Mary Ann Stephens which could explain the Stephens & Hunting in the name
