Halfway Cemetery Sheerness - HOOKER

Hello everyone,

Yesterday my father and I went to Halfway cemetery in Sheerness, where I found the grave of my 3rd great-grand uncle, George HOOKER along with his wife Jane.

This find, however, was lucky - since we didn't have any plot details and just wandered around and hoped. We thought there would be a chapel or lodge there so we could look up details, but there wasn't one.

I wondered whether someone would be able to find the plot locations of the following people:

Edward Jabez HOOKER (wife, Caroline Sophia).
John Ezzard Edward HOOKER (wife, Annie Elizabeth).

If it's not possible on here, could someone point me in the right direction; where would I find plot details, so we can try again?

Your best way forward is to contact Swale Council who hold all the burial details plot numbers etc of cemeterys throughout the borough.

It is best if you can make an appointment and visit Sittingbourne council office yourself as you live there .
If you E-mail council only ask for a couple at the time.
When you have found the 2 you were asking for heres a few more for you all at Halfway Cemetery .
All with surname Hooker.

Hi Grandarog,

Thanks for the information - and thanks for that list of names - I recognise a lot of them from the family tree, but some of them I don't, so I'll see if they link into the tree somewhere (I'm sure they do - Sheppey is only a small island, after all).
