In between the 1881 and 1891 the family breakdown happened. I can understand that the older children had to leave and make their own way. 2 teenage children James and Rosina stay at home and seem to be working for mum as hawker and later shop assistant. The two youngest children Sarah 4 and Hannah 1 in 1881 seem to have disappeared. I would love to know what happened to them. Would they have beeen farmed out to relations or put in the workhouse?

Theres a possible death in Sept 1887.

Can find her on 81 census, born 77, but nothing on BMD or further census?

Sorry, cannot find anything that remotely fits with Sarah...
Either she died and wasnt registered, unlikely as they did register Hannah, or the record is not online yet.
Or possibly someone took her in and changed her name??
