Hi wilrob,

I just wondered how you know Margaret was a Robson also?
Do you have a Childs Birth Cert to confirm her Maiden Name?

Also in 1881 Census Son William is age 3, therefore if they didnt Marry til 1881 he would be illegitimate. Or they Married pre 1878 and Margaret is not nee Robson.

Can you confirm the above please.

i would like to thank everyone for there input to say the least i am now totally dizzy lol what i do know is
william robson 1850 christening record st johns lee mother barbara father john
william and margaret lived scotswood in carrs cottages jad around 13 c
children (1 was my grandma)
barbara marshal born 1825 chollerton parents anne andwilliam marshal
john robson 1823 st johns lee died 1900 his father william 1772 of whalton
i do try and check everything but somewhere i have got waylayed and now all over the place i dont know if this is of any help only 2 things im sure about is william and margaret and all them kids

looking for the family of william robson of carrs cottages scotswood/newburn 1850 married to margaret (maggie,meggie)1856 have managed to get there children but its there parents stuck with williams mother i think is barbara marshal and the father john robson but when looked on other family trees they have william as married to someone else and i am certain of margaret and there children

ok have found a marriage of margaret robson married william robson dec 1881 her age 31 his 25 her father called john robson his called lionel robson have i just getting these 2 people mixed up with them having the same surnames ...what a palava

Do you have any Certificates to confirm anything?

By 1881 William/Margaret already have a Child.

just found there marrige certificate margaret and williams so later on will try and see what else i can find certificate wise thanks to everyone for there input im new to doing trees etc lolx

According to the 1871 census Barbara Robson is only 34 & as William is 21 can't be mother & son.
