Mystery photo - can you tell me anything about this soldier please?
« on: Friday 14 September 12 15:52 BST (UK) »
Hi there,

Another mystery photo, taken in Rangoon. I looked up the photographers, and they were there between 1888 and 1908.

Unfortunately I can't see any kind of insignia - are there any other clues as to which regiment he might be in please?

Thanks for looking

Judy
Best wishes, Judy :-))

Taken between 1888 - 1908 as that is the period Watts & Skeen had a studio in Rangoon

Deffo Fusilier, and quite likely Lancashires
One more charge and then be dumb,
When the forts of Folly fall,
May the victors when they come
Find my body near the wall.
