I have the folowing information in my current Family History of the Langmaids:

Richard Langmaid: Born 28 October 1818, Lanreath, Cornwall. Married September 1849 Elizabeth Pearce. She died in August 1851 giving birth to William who died a month later.
On 24 December 1857 Richard (widower) marries Jane Anne Lander from St Veep (school mistress). She blesses Richard with a son they call William on 3 November 1859.

According to my Family History, Richards parents were a John & Mary (Nee Wymouth Broad) Langmaid. John was born 1795 and christened 25 May 1795 at Bogga Mill. He married Mary on the 7 May 1818 at Lanreath. They had seven children: Richard, Ann, Margaretta, Francis, Selina, Matilda and Harriet,

So far so good, so now who were John Langmaids parents? This is where I feel my Family History goes wrong. I have two names, but not sure if they are correct. Assistance would be most appreciated.

I cant confirm either the Christening of Richard 1818 but had found the other Girls.
I feel it is a possibility that Henry from the 1841 Census I posted, is a Brother of Richard 1818 or a Cousin.

Now the only thing that worries me is that on the bit of info I put earlier, which I said I would explain later, Sidney Collings is down as the Nephew of John Langmaid.
Margaretta Langmaid  (under Margaret) Married Francis COLLINGS Reg Sept 1843

If this is John, Father of Richard/Margaret it looks like he remarried also to a much younger Woman Rebecca.

I have to do a bit more research on this so back later.

If what I have found (a second Marriage for John) it may be the info you require re Johns Father/Occp etc.

Frank died age 9 in 1874

Cornwall OPC has a WILLIAM Baptised 19 Nov 1866, St Veep to John/Rebecca, Father Carpenter.
FreeBMD has a Birth Reg Dec 1866 and a Death Reg Dec 1866 for him

Looks like Richards Father definitely was a John as 1st Son is named that from 1851 Census where he is Married to Elizabeth;

He may have died between 1851-1861 Census where John Snr is Married to Jane Ann
