Both Richard Dudley Sears and Herbert Moon Sears were sons of Frederick Richard Sears
born 20 Apr 1824 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts and his second wife Albertina H Shelton 1834 - 1915

It sounds as if she had a passion for tennis and golf.

The Richard Field Conover looks likely to be the one b orn in New Jersey 20 November 1858 with parents Frank S Conover and Helen Field

Francis Stevens Conover was born on Nov 24, 1822 New York City, New York County, New York. He was the son of Commodore Thomas Anderson Conover and Elizabeth Juliana Stevens. Francis married Helen Stockton Field, daughter of Richard Stockton Field and Mary Ritchie, on May 15, 1856. Francis Stevens Conover died in 1901.
 In 1840 Francis Stevens Conover and graduated in the first class of the United States Naval Acedemy at United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. He sailed with Comodore Perry on his expedition to Japan in 1852. He resided at at South Amboy, Middlesex County, New Jersey, before 1862. He resided at at Princeton, Mercer County, New Jersey, in 1862; He resided in the old Bainbridge house on Bayard's Lane which his father had purchase. He commanded the "Issac Smith'" and was taken prisoner at Stony Inlet, kept a prisoner for three months and then exchanged. circa 1863.



Richard (retired lawyer) died 5 th June 1930 Charleston, Charleston, South Carolina.

Leonard Beekman - Leonard Beekman, Princeton graduate of the class of 1918, jumped to his death from the 11th floor of the Hotel Rockefeller today at 7 A.M. He had been ill for months following a nervous breakdown. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Beekman, well known socially both in New York and Philadelphia, their home.
