https://familysearch.org/ has some Queensland cemetery indexes - not in the name search, these are image sets (use 'browse by location'). There is an index for Caboolture which goes up to 1979 - one "Kelly", not Joseph or Ada though.

Was his mother Letitia Elizabeth Schofield (various spellings of first name), who married Thomas John Needle and then remarried to Walter Cole? If so, you might want to check those surnames.
