Henry McPherson Kilsyth Scotland .

Henry McPherson was my Grandfather's brother .he was born in 1881. in Kilsyth to John and Margaret McPherson .
He enlisted in the 2ND Scottish Horse in 1902 and served as a trooper in South Africa. He re enlisted in the A&SH in 1913 and served in WWI with promotion to Sgt..Was wounded in 1916 and invalided out in 1917.
Last known address was King st lane Kilsyth in 1921 .
I can find no further trace of him or his family.

hi,  what was your grandfathers name so there is a little more to go on  as the only henry i can see at the moments  with same DOB and place, has a charles and margaret as parents

Sorry for that, it should have been Charles . My Grand father was Alexander Mc Pherson . Other sblings were  Susan (1866) Jane 1869,John1870 Hugh1872 Charlie1877 ALEX 1877 my G/dad, William1878 and Henry 1881 .

 i can see him in the census's  ,his military records but all i can find after that

for  henry mcpherson may or may not be him
perth newspaper index cards   death 1969  henry mcpherson of 116 perth road scone ,obituary 29-12- 1969

and one for 28-4-1993  23 tummel road   perth newspapers may be able to give you more info to prove or disprove if its your  henry

Thanks for that , I will look into that Info .
I couldn't find any Marriage cert. All Icould find was that his wife and children were getting an allowance during WW1.
I had a feeling he might have gone England or emigrated.

SP is showing a death for a Henry McPherson 1969 Perth , but that has birth year c1895
Also Perth death 1993 , birth year 1914

There is a death Henry McPherson 1952 Kilsyth Stirling , birth year c1881(SP)  
Do you have his wife's maiden name to see if there is a possible death in Scotland ?
