St Clement Dane's workhouse -significance of dates?

Hi,

I don't know if anyone can help or if there is any answer to this.

I have found that three children (aged 9, 7 and 5) were taken into St Clement Dane's workhouse in 1779 and 1780. Each time it was on the 16th December.
Does this date have any significance or is it just chance.

I'd be grateful for any light you can shed on this!
