Hello -- I am requesting a lookup of Thomas Lamport [born 1834 at Coombes, Sussex] and his family in the 1871 census, probably in Poplar or St Geo Han Sq.
According to the 1881 census, Thomas' wife, Jane, was born c.1830 in Sussex. Two of Thomas' and Jane's daughters were born at Newhaven in Sussex: Ellen (1858) and Ann Elizabeth (1860). One daughter, Fanny, was born in Poplar R.D. in 1870.
As of 1881, Thomas & his family resided at No. 13 In Court, London, Middlesex, England. In addition to Thomas, Jane and their three daughters, a grand son, William A. Frampton, was living with the family. Born at Marylebone, William was age 6 in 1881. This suggests another child, a daughter, and I found a possible marriage in the 4th Q 1869 in St Geo Han Sq between Richard Frampton and Caroline Lamport.
By the 1871 census for this family, I hope to learn whether Caroline was Thomas' and Jane's daughter and whether there were, perhaps, more children. I hope this information is enough to go on, and thank you for considering my request.
