The photos were in an album which was scaned and sent to me.  Some photos were identified including other siblings of Charles and Harry hence me knowing who this could be.  I thought if the uniform could be identified then I would know!  I have put another photo which Ithink is the marine on another thred.  The second photo was on th esame page as the possible marine one

I think it is the same person taken at different periods in time.The hairline in both photos is similar as is the lower lip.
The one with the moustache would be later than the one without and probably as an adornment after his promotion in rank.
I'm not good at military badges but I can say that it is not a Royal Marine badge.

Agreed Joe look like RF Grenade and if he stayed Private RMLI he wouldnt have a stripe (I know he could be busted but it would say on his RMLI record)
