Hi,
There are a number of Moutrays in the 1901 and 1911 census for Ireland. There is also the transcript of a will of a John CORRY Moutray who died in 1859, in PRONI. See http://applications.proni.gov.uk/DCAL_PRONI_WillsCalendar/WillsSearch.aspx

Walter was born in Linsfort, Buncrana.  His father John was an RIC constable.  His mother was Catherine Jane, surname possibly Ovens.  Other possible siblings are Robert b1869 and William b1872.

I'll warn you now, this name is all over the place, for example there are various permutations of  Curry / Currie / Corry / Carey and Moutray / Montray / Mountray / Moutrey.

When John Curry Moutray enlisted in the RIC in 1854, he was 20.

Added: Looks like he was born in Tyrone.
