No problem...once I get on a roll, it's hard to stop!!

1871

11 Charles View, St Leonard, Shoreditch

Robert Cox, Head, 25, Carver/Chair Maker, Bethnal Green
Emma Cox, Wife, 22, London City
Robert Cox, Son, 2, Bethnal Green
Thomas Cox, Son, 2, Bethnal Green
George Cox, Son, 5mths, Shoreditch

RG10/443 Pg27

A bit dubious about this one, although Robert and Thomas are there...

Regards, Emma ;)

Yes, that looks right.  Several of these guys were chair makers, also stone carvers & wood carvers.

From looking at 1901, Robert's still listed as a chair maker, and so is another brother, Henry!

Emma could be Anne/Anna, just depending on handwriting!
Thanks,
Charlotte

Emma was written on the image, so a mistake of the enumerator perhaps?

Henry - I have him up until 1881, so the 1891/1901 would be great.

Here's his family from 1881 info:
Henry, 27 Bethnal Green, carman
Sophia, 24 "
Henry, 4     "
Thomas, 4 mths "

Thanks!
Charlotte

don't worry about it... I've got a lot more now than I thought I would anyway!

Thanks for doing so many lookups!  It's a great help!  These people have been pretty good at showing up in the various census years!  Some of my others go missing now and then!

Thanks very much!
Charlotte

  Hi Charlotte,

Have you any link to West / South Hanningfield with your Cox's. 1791~1805 +

I seem to be amassing a lot of them in this area.  Stock / Margaretting etc.

All have the same names as yours. I have 7 boys ( so far) born to one couple.

     Lesanne.    :D
