Find a will

Hi

I wonder if anyone could help me find out if my husband's Father left a will. His name was Joseph Lynch and died on 24th June 1983. He was living  at 4 Hillside Park, Baldock, Herts at the time of his death. My husband was abandoned by him as a small child. Any help would be greatly recieved.

It says his widow Lilian Lynch registered the death but Joseph never actually divorced my husband's mother.

To find if there was a will you need a search which for this date can only be done via a Probate Registry. This can be done in person (they suggest calling first) or if this isn't possible they offer a postal search service at a cost of £6 which includes a copy of the will if found.
