Hullo,
I'm sorry, but I only have these certs by mistake.  I was looking for certain names fitting certain dates but when the certs came through the names of the mother and father did not match what I knew.
There seem to be a large number of O'Rourkes in West Derby, Liverpool but my ancestors were not based in Liverpool at all. I think you'd need to establish where and when your gran  was adopted and see if there's an organisation such as Barnardos who can help you trace her birth mother. If you knew where she was born, maybe the local Church would have records? Perhaps another way would be to find out - have a guess - when her twin brother were born and do some research for twins of that name born in that year in that district.
All the best in your search.

Hi, I think the O'Rourke/Olive certificate relates to my Father's aunty Sarah. My dad's mother, Mary, was Sarah's sister and they lived in Field Street in Everton (the next street). Her first husband had been killed in the war so his best friend, John Halliday, did the decent thing and married her (she already had three children with her first husband, '***** Welsh'). For years my Dad thought his own surname was Welsh as well :-)

Cheers
Garry
