Photo identification WWI(?)

Hi been going through some old family photos and a couple of unknowns turned up.  Any help in identifying age and regiments greatly appreciated.  \will post separately for clarity

can you hazard a guess at the era (or War) and rank?

I would only be hazarding a guess by saying possibly between the wars.

He would be an Army Medic, same status as a Private.

Just a thought - could he have been a medic in a mounted artillery unit - see my post

The tunics look very similar - and in Nick's photo the man has a riding crop  - why would a RAMC medic have that? (or is it a swagger stick)

I'm not claiming any expertise - just an observation.

The collar badges are clearly RAMC.  If you Google RAMC you will discover when it was formed, which will give the earliest possible date for the photo.
I would guess at 1920s/30s.
No artillery evidence visible.  The swagger stick was part of walking out dress, in the days when it was normal to be seen in uniform.

More investigation required to pin down which generation this fellow was from, we can then try and work out who he was ;D
