advice appreciated
« on: Saturday 13 October 12 08:07 BST (UK) »
Hi, I think I may be looking for a needle in a haystack.  My great-great grandmother's brother, Michael Kelly, was born in Tipperary Ireland about 1836.
The next information I have on him is his death in Victoria, Australia in 1898.  His Australian Will states he was from Kimberley, South Africa and was in Victoria for 6 months.  I feel he probably went to his sister in Melbourne to die as his death certificate states he had TB for 12 months.
His occupation given on death certificate says "Gentleman".  It states he was unmarried and had no children.
He seems to have done well for himself in SA as he left a good deal of money to family members in Melbourne.

What I am wondering is if there may be any sort of paper trail or records at all besides birth, marriage, death where I may find any sort of information on him while he was in SA?

many thanks
Kerryn (Australia)
