Around 1914 - 1916 would be my guess I think??? the car is an old Ford Tourer

Sounds about right to me
1911 model year (when front doors were added to the touring model)

Is the cross important at the rear?

Thank you Japeflakes, the photo looks fantastic now, so much better.

I'm trying to identify who the person marked with the cross is. I think it is very likely a family member (a number  of my family emigrated to Pennsylvania around 1870's -1880) but I had no firm idea when the photograph may have been taken.
