Thankyou Brian,

Your help is very much appreciated. This one part of my tree I would love to solve the mystery surrounding Edward. I keep going over the information that I do have on him, so see if i have missed something, but just hit a wall everytime. But I won't give up!!

Best Regards

Marriage of Edward & Mary Jane Jones maiden name of Jones

21st Jan 1899, The Crescent Chapel, Llanellchwarain Newtown ( sorry for any spelling mistakes)

Edward residing at Bryncaemaeshir, Tregynon, (I have googled this and its said its in Berriew?)

Mary residing at Cefngwernfa, Tregynon.

on the cert Edward's age 22, Mary 18.

Witnesses Ann Jones, William Jones.

Occupations of father's Edwards Farm Labourer, Mary's father Stone Mason, My dad has said he knew that Mary's father was a stone mason, I have census records of Mary with her Parents & siblings, and they match the names given on her obituary notice. one of those was a Benjamin, who lived in Caersws married to Sarah.

Is it possible that this is the wrong marriage?Edward's age looks a little out compared to his calculated age from the obituary notice.
Therre is an 1898 marriage of Edward Jones to Mary Ann Jones, registration district Llanfyllin that looks an interesting alternative.

Regards
Roger

Zoe
lots to consider, did you have any luck on posting details of where Edward lived according to his marriage certificate?.
To say that Edward lived in Wales for so long there seems to be precious little about him.
Kind regards Brian. ;)
