I'm not sure if I can help you at all, but I have a few Patrick Candon's in my family. We have a large family base in Rutland, Vermont. I believe some of my family is from County Sligo.

All I know of this Patrick is his wife's name and date of their marriage. Their son also Patrick was born in Sligo in 1833 and came to Glasgow, Scotland  and married there in 1853. I have more information about these Candons or Condons as they are known now (this is my husbands family). The Patrick who came to Scotland also had a son Patrick..quite confusing!!..he died here in 1947.
