Hi Doran

Now I am thoroughly confused. Logically this Ralph Jones Cook looks as if he should be father to Edward Jones Cook???? Do you have the wife's name of this Ralph.

I have that 1841 entry for John Cook as well. He was in Petworth Prison for larceny for 4 months. His occupation was given as carpenter which doesn't tie in with him listed as a bricklayer on his marriage cert to Sarah Ann Godley.I really don't know what to make of this as that is the only entry for John Cook 1841 Census. This crime is committed after his marriage.

Could the tree you have viewed be titled Julie Cook tree?

the owner of that tree is the woman I am doing this topic for. There are a few of us that have our trees on that site. We live in a rural area in Australia and her computer reception is a bit hit and miss. Mine is good. She has not used Rootschat before so am I the volunteer to help.

There are ones in my ancestry that are not registered but it is strange for it to be a child in the middle.
