Looking for information on the family of Michael Ryan and nee Nora Hickey.
They resided in what is today known as ecclesiastical Parish of Sixmilebridge, which at one time comprised the old Civil Parishes of Kilmurry, Kilfinaghat and Fennagh Co. Clare. They were recorded as having the following children; Thomas 1830, Daniel, 1833, Maria 1836, Margaret 1837 and Michael 1839.
Does this information ring a bell with anyone?

This may be a long shot but NSW BDM has a Thomas J RYAN death 1922; Casino; Father Michael; Mother Nora

Sorry abt that! I have recently discovered my Ryans came from around Sixmilebridge area  co clare, unfortunately the priest at the time did not state where they lived, although they rented lands round Sixmilebridge for farming.
Thomas Ryan settled in Victoria Australia Geelong area, he was found to be a wheat farmer he died in 1900 Leopold Geelong,( found that he suffered spinal condition after a horse riding accident.) His only son Michael owned the Gardiner Hotel Geelong. Hoping that someone might be able to help with this family.

I'm looking for any information that Leeds me to where they came from in the surrounding areas of Sixmilebridge. Yes I have his will but no mention of his home place in Ireland contained within. I'm also trying to establish if any of his sibs came to Aus? Hard one!
