Hi,
Im new to this and the family! I just recently discovered that my Mum is somehow related to the Walkers of Carnew. Is there anyway I can crash this party and ask for help in finding the connection?
Hope to hear from someone soon!
Thanks

The posters on this thread haven't been here for a few years although if their emails are still working they may respond meanwhile why not just tell us what you are looking for and maybe someone can help.
Keep in mind not to post the names of anyone still living.

Ooh thanks for the reply, I wasn't really expecting one so it was a nice surprise!

Ive recently discovered my Mother might be related to the same Walkers. I know Joseph and Jane (Condell) had a son called Joseph P Walker (1840) who later emigrated to America but I'm trying to find out if Joseph had any brothers or sisters as I think that's where the connection lies.

Any help at all in solving the mystery would be wonderful!

On this list (page 22) you can see what records survive for Carnew
https://www.ireland.anglican.org/cmsfiles/pdf/AboutUs/library/registers/ParishRegisters/PARISHREGISTERS.pdf
The good news is these records are going to be put online, although we don't know when yet

I would suggest sending Private Message to Texas Ranger, he/she appears to know quite a lot about this family, just click on the little round circle with a page in the centre under his/her name.

If you can try to google Who Do it you Think You Are UK With Graham Norton.   Graham's real name is Walker and he is related to the Walkers.from Carnew.  An ancestor if his was verger in the CoI Church.   BBC filmed a good section in  Carnew about the Walker Family

The Walls were originally tenants from Sheffield on the Fitzwilliam Coolattin Estatw.  A lot of the Fitzwilliam Irish papers are held in Sheffield in the UK

If you google Fitzwilliams Coolatin Clearances  PDF he.Clearance list will come up with tenants that were cleared off the last  There might be Walkers on it
(Sorry have having a real issue linking to it when I open it it downloads to my phone)
