Births Sep 1/4 1862
Emma Neal Tamworth 6b/327

If Emma really was born in Brimington, the registration district should be Chesterfield, but we  won't discard this one yet   :)

Yes I know but thought I'd throw it in. Wondering if her father died when she was very young and she used a stepfather's name? Either/or first and second name.  I love confusion :)

Births Mar 1/4 1884
George Neale Chesterfield vol 7b page 744

Like many of us when we start this genealogy stuff we find things that some people don't know and some don't want to know. Your grandmother and George could have been half brother and sister or full. George born before his mother's marriage to William Leader. Alice evidently loved him whatever the correct technical relationship.

Marriage  George Thomas Rice & Emma Leader
Oct-Nov-Dec 1895  Chesterfield
Vol 7b  Page 1306

Derek

It might be an idea to correct the names in your first post to avoid confusing anyone else.  Should be

William Leader  and  George Thomas Rice

Linda

Added - of course we're only doing all of this because we can't (yet) find Emma  :o ::)

Could be but I would have expected the spelling difference to be on the census, not the registration, but who knows
