1861 Census Lookup, Possibly Dover St. Mary
« on: Monday 30 May 05 12:20 BST (UK) »
Hello everyone,

I'm wondering if someone could possibly help me find my g great grandmother in 1861.

Her birthplace is recorded as Bermondsey, though I suspect that she was actually Irish and from Kerry. As she was married in Dover in 1864, I think that it's more than likely that she would have lived here also.

Her details are as below:

Ellen Hennessey
Born: 1844 in Bermondsey, Middlesex/Kerry, Ireland

I know that her father was called Daniel and he was a farmer. I think that her mother may have been called Ellen.

If anyone can help me with this, it would be very appreciated.

Best wishes,

I think somebody has looked for her in Dover previously (without success) on another of your postings.  There are several "possibilities" showing up but nothing that gives anything conclusive ie.

Ellen b1844 Ireland in service at Bow, London/Middlesex
Ellen b1845 London in service at St James/Louth, Lincs.
Ellen b1845 Hammersmith Lnd lodging at Waltham Holy Cross, Essex
Ellen b1842 Greenwich a scholar in a religious training school in Liverpool
Eleanor b.1845 Horn Dean, Hants with mother Charlotte (butler's wife) & siblings at Walthamstow, Essex
