Help, I have no idea.  If Moston is an area of Manchester then maybe.  All I know Ashley lane still exists but Little Neston Street appears not to.
As for their religion, I think they were C of E but I cannot be 100% sure as george was born in Ireland and I haven't been able to find his marriage yet.
Not much help am I?

Hi Juliet

If it is Moston I would suggest this church. The church is still in operation but all headstones were removed a long time ago.

Harpurhey- Christ Church
Baptisms-1838-1908- MFPR 1380
Baptisms-1908-1959- MFPR 1381
Burials-1838-1878- MFPR 1386
Burials-1878-1963- MFPR 1387
Marriages-1840-1898- MFPR 1382
Marriages-1898-1915- MFPR 1383
Marriages-1915-1934- MFPR 1384
Marriages-1934-1952- MFPR 1385
Marriages-1952-1970- MFPR 1386

The records above are held in the Manchester Archives

Hope this helps

Hi Linda

As far as I know the Ashley lane church never had burials, it is a walled church and house, old maps do not indicate a grave yard and I live at the back of it on land that was once Moston House later an RC school/convent then a college.
Moston- Ashley Lane Wesleyan
Baptisms-1880-1964-Archives M80/6
Marriages-1924-1965- Archives M275

and

St. Joseph's Cemetery (RC) Moston Lane, Manchester opened in 1877, ten years after he died.

The one possible other would be, Queens Park Cemetery, Harpurhey opened in 1837.

Hello Just a stab in the dark here, i live in the south of england but originate from salford.  I am doing my family history and i have no older members of my family left so as you were chatting about moston cemetry i was wondering if anyone could help.

Catherine Smith MY Great Grandmother is buried in moston cemetery along with her 4 sisters whom i have no idea who they are? except one is a Sarah Logan of camp st died in 1933 age 34i think she is buried in a multiple grave.
I remember  around 25 yrs ago my mother found her grave and it had no marker on it so my parents tidied the grave and my dad made a wooden white cross and painted it white does any one have any ideas how to find this plot again? and does anyone know of any publications that transcribe the plots in moston cemetery?

Her family were from meath and louth ireland so i am not getting very for with this part of the family.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
